The sculpture features Van Gogh sitting in his yellow chair, opening his coat and revealing the image, engraved on his body, of the “Starry Night” canvas. his fixed gaze demonstrates the viceral necessity of his Art, and how his work is confused with his own existence.
A escultura apresenta Van Gogh sentado em sua cadeira amarela, abrindo o casaco e revelando a imagem, gravada em seu corpo, da tela “Noite Estrelada” (ou “campo de trigo”, ou “girassóis”) com seu olhar fixo demonstra a necessidade viceral de sua Arte, e como seu trabalho se confunde com sua própria existência.
